"I had two barrel chairs reupholstered, and Queen Anne Upholstery did a beautiful job.  The fabric selections were awesome, the people in the front office and in the workroom were nice, and Seth and Jerry were both delightful to work with.  They finished the job in less time than they estimated, and my two little chairs look quite elegant now.

I notice other people commenting on price, and Queen Anne Upholstery is no bargain.  But you get what you pay for.  In my experience, it usually costs about the same to reupholster as it does to purchase new chairs  - assuming they are quality pieces of furniture.  That was pretty much true in my case.  If you are expecting to save money by reupholstering, then you should reconsider your strategy.  Buy a new cheap chair instead.  But if you have quality furniture that is hard to replace or intrinsically valuable, then reupholstery makes sense and it's worth paying to have a professional job like they do at Queen Anne Upholstery.  (Besides, it wasn't their fault that I fell in love with an expensive fabric, the price for the labor was fair.)"

"I purchased two original 1967 Pierre Paulin Ribbon Chairs on ebay and on a recommendation from Kasala, took them to Queen Anne Upholstery to be recovered. I was skeptical, because these chairs are modern design, and didn't look anything like the chairs on their website or in their shop.  But I spoke with Jerry and he said "bring them by and let me take a look."  I did, and he said he could do them. They were in really rough shape, and when they removed the cover, they discovered the latex foam underneath needed to be replaced in areas also. I was concerned they'd never look "right", but what an amazing job the team there did.

Before beginning, Jerry said to me "I know the look you're going for - sculpture."  He was exactly right and he delivered. Not only did he do an amazing job on the fabric portion, but he painted the bases.  He called me shortly before they were supposed to be ready and said he really wasn't happy with the paint, and wanted to order an automotive paint to get it right. They look amazing - absolute showpieces."

"I needed to get our leather loveseat repaired and I'd found Queen Anne upholstery via a Google search. They were the first and only place I called. They answered all my questions up front, gave me an estimate  and even picked up the couch (for an extra $50; they'll do it for $30 if you want to help them.)  

When they got it to their shop, they called and told me what they would need to do. They also offered to take a couple of optional preventive measures, which I also chose. It turned out to be what they'd estimated over the phone for cost, not including the additional options. They said it would take a week but they were done in a few days and called us and delivered it promptly. It looks great! Could not even tell where the work was done. We love that piece of furniture and will be able to enjoy it many more years.

I will agree with other reviewers that the service was expensive, but, having gotten some other upholstery work done before, I doubt that you're likely, if ever, going to find anything much cheaper. And you're paying for quality work. I will take other furniture to Queen Anne Upholstery and refer others to them."

Queen Anne Upholstery did a fabulous job reupholstering my expensive Italian chair. In just about every way, it looks better than the original. If you have the good fortune to work with Seth or Jerry (family owners), you'll surely be satisfied as well. I recommend them.

When I first took my chair to Queen Anne Upholstery, I was not satisfied with the results. After some back and forth, I paid for the work and left a dissatisfied customer. I wrote about my experience on Yelp, at which point Seth contacted me and asked for the opportunity to make things right - and that's what he did. Businesses, of course, aren't different from individuals - they make mistakes. However, a business that owns a mistake and takes pains to correct it - well, that's something special. Really, I'm now completely satisfied with the result, as well as with the dedication to customers shown by Seth and the other folks at Queen Anne Upholstery. If I had had this experience at the beginning, I would have given them 5 stars."

"Thank goodness I got insurance on my new couch. In my delirium, I thought it'd be AWESOME to cut stuff while sitting on my couch. Needless to say, and a 1.5 inch tear later, I was kicking myself and wondering how I don't walk into stuff more. My couch insurance sent me to QA Upholstery and they called me right away. I opted to drop off my cushion (but they also offered to come to my place to fix it!), and they did a WONDERFUL job. I only really wanted to knocked half a star because it's not located in the most convenient place for someone without a car (I had to borrow one) ... BUT - if you do have a car, parking is not a prob."

"I heard about them from an interior designer friend of mine, who knew they would be able to do a great job on my tough piece. The project was a very special huge L-shaped seat that was about 80" for each arm. My husband had designed and built it and I didn't want to let him down on the upholstery end of it. The front, sitting side of each arm of the L was to be upholstered and the back is exposed gorgeous walnut.

I was lucky to work with Seth and Jerry, we drew up some sketches and looked at some examples that I brought in. They called me in for a "sit test" to make sure we were on track and though it absolutely looked like it could go in a home opposite central parknin NYC, that was not the look I wanted to go for! Communication is everything and somehow our wires got crossed. Seth and Jerry bent over backward to make the revision work exactly as I envisioned for the piece, and it is now at home in my dining room looking just as I had thought it should.

I learned tons about upholstery terminology and thanks to Seth and Jerry I now know a few things about what upholsters need to creat their magic. They were patient with all my "tweaks" and really aimed to please. No attitude of "we know better than you do" from them at all.

I will definitely go back there for the next project. Just remember that you get what you pay for. Good craftsmanship needs to be paid for appropriately. This is the place to go to get it right."

"Queen Anne upholstery did a more amazing job on my sofa than I ever could have imagined!  I bought an old 1900's sofa off Craigslist wanting to have it reupholstered.  I called or emailed probably 20+ reupholstery places in King\/Snohomish county all to no avail.  When I finally found Queen Anne Upholstery they were polite, friendly and professional.  They said I could bring the sofa in any time during business hours (they have regular store hours M-F).  

They gave me a very reasonable priced quote, and FINISHED THE ENTIRE SOFA IN ONE WEEK! I was so pleased with the quality of the workmanship, it looks better than the sofa I had originally wanted to buy new from Anthropologie for less than a third of the price. They even beefed up the frame and added some stuffing as a courtesy.  

Their staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and even going with one of the cheaper foams they carried for the cushion it was far more comfortable than most things I had tried in stores.  

I hope to have many more pieces done by them, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for an A+ upholstery job."

"I highly recommend Queen Anne Upholstery.  This company was recommended by my friend who had her couch reupholstered.  

In my case, I purchased a new sofa from Blu dot and there was a defect - the seam was poorly done and you could see the wooden frame.  I called several places and all but Queen Anne Upholstery told me additional material from Blu Dot would be needed to patch the repair.   Queen Anne told me this wasn't necessary, picked up my sofa, repaired it beautifully with tight seams, and returned it the next day.  I am so pleased with the repair and avoided the hassle of getting additional fabric from Blu Dot.  

Also, all the estimates from these three companies I called were similar."

"I had them re-do the seats on some nice leather couches.  I liked that they sent someone out to give me an estimate, and then they came and picked up the furniture and dropped it off - they made everything very easy. I was worried the new seats would look incongruous with the rest of the couch, but they cleaned up all sorts of scratches and problems with the rest of the couch, and it looks and feels like I have new couches now, for about 1/3 of the price of having purchased similar quality new couches (and I was never going to find a set I loved as much as these).  The new leather they put on is buttery-soft."

"I am so pleased with the work recently performed by Queen Anne Upholstery on my sofa. I called a few weeks ago regarding a new, custom-made sofa (non-returnable!) that didn't fit down the staircase. QAU came to my home within the week to meticulously take apart the sofa, move it, and perfectly reassemble it. Tom and Sergio did the work -- they were efficient, friendly and true artisans. It was a big job, and took five hours, but definitely worth it!

"Recently had Queen Anne Upholstery re-upholster my sofa and loveseat, the work is flawless...perfect seams, perfect work, and their service is impeccable.

The staff is knowledgeable and were also very helpful in suggesting design change ideas that could be done to my exiting sofas. Their fabric selection is very extensive, organized showroom with categorized samples to chose from, which may be checked out to see how they look at home! 
They are not the cheapest ... ?but the Quality is very very good and I would certainly use them again."
